I met Jamie online awhile ago where we talked about her upcoming wedding.

I actually Photographed her Nephew's senior session. :)

Kyle and Jamie are getting married in July of 2012.

The wedding is going to be gorgeous.

and I am super excited about their cake.

You will be too..they are having multiple flavors.

I intend to try every one.

Not really....ok..maybe. :)

We met on probably one Kansas' most WINDY days.

Seriously tho!

Whew..I was watching for Dorothy's house to come flying by us.

(give it a second......no?..ok...Wizard of oz???)

But it was nice out. Overcast for a bit..and then the sun came out

and shined on some of it's pretty rays for us.

Jamie is cute and sweet and has great style. Not kidding.

My hubby walked by the computer while I was editing. And he says," Wow.

Her shirt looks exactly like something you would buy."

I laugh.

and reply, "I know, right?!"

Kyle is great too. He's so sweet to Jamie. Listening to her, holding her hand.

I have been sitting here for awhile trying to think of a word that just describes Cory & Laken.

And it's hard to narrow down. Because I think they are fantastic people. :)

Laken came to me last year to have her Senior photos taken...check her out..here

This was my first time meeting Laken and we hit it right off.

She's quiet and sweet...and loves to run. My goodness, that girl loves to run! I"m pretty sure the majority of her posts are about running...(and yes, I am jealous. lol).

I think it's awesome.

When Laken contacted me about becoming engaged, I was thrilled!

I couldn't wait to meet this guy!

And he is awesome too.

Seriously. The guy has got some mad style going on. ♥ it.

The day was gorgeous.

And the decor was just amazing. So much thought had gone into this...from a paper leaf to a beautiful hanging chandelier...to pumpkins engraved with the letter M.

It was perfection.

One thing I love about weddings, is seeing and hearing about all these amazing ideas.

And then showing up on a wedding day and seeing it executed.

My brides are just really brilliant.

And this one has got some amazing taste. :)

I absolutely love the Sock monkey cake. Best Grooms cake I have seen so far. :)

If you know me at all..you know that I go crazy over skeleton keys. :) My heart actually skipped a beat when I saw them.. Awesome. :)

There were so many details. It was so gorgeous! Laken's Great Uncle actually made this gazebo! What an awesome story to have!

I didn't add the photo here..but she actually had a blue smiley face sticker on the bottom of her shoe.

You know when you are reading a really good book..and it's describing that feeling where these two people are in love and can no longer deny it. It's that feeling where your heart races..because you know they are about to kiss and their lives will forever be changed...and you know you should stop reading (or look away if you are more of a movie-buff) because it is such an intimate moment....well. That's how I feel when I look at this next photo.

(although that is fun too..but an entirely different story. :)

Back when I lived in Missouri I had the opportunity to work with

another photographer.

I was her back up.

Her buddy.

Her bag carrier.

Errand girl.

come now...we know EVERYONE loves someone who will laugh at their jokes! :)

Fortunately for me..my Photographer buddy is pretty funny.

Last month we had the opportunity to work together again.

Just like the old days!

I had

the best day.

Not only did I get to work with my Shootin buddy (hehe..I feel like I am in an old western!)

BUT..I also got to meet this awesome couple!

The ceremony was held at Amanda's parents house.

It was really stunning!

The house itself was gorgeous..

and then you step into

taken in with all the beautiful trees

and flowers

and water.

So pretty!

Dusty and Amanda had a fire in their home.

The ring got lost in it. :(

Meet Richard and Kayla.

Kayla is a sweetie that I met through another Client. She is really quiet (I know..complete opposite of me, right??? hehe..I know what you are thinking!! ) and she is so smart!

Richard is such a nice guy too. You can tell they really care about each other. :)

They met at McDonald's.

They were both working there...getting to know each other as friends..

and then.

They fell in love.

I like stories like that.

You may remember Laken. I first met her during her Senior year of High School.

She is now engaged to the fantastic Cory. And I have got to say it. They are just oober cute together.

Cory has got great style! I love his glasses..and his hat .....he is just a cool guy.

We headed up to Winfield, KS first thing in the morning to avoid some of this crazy heat we have been having. :) And the weather was just gorgeous. It happened to cool off that week...so it was Perfect!

This next shot is one of my favorites...I love her smile...I love his smile...I love THEM. :)

I am so. SO glad that we went under the bridge. I think these just added a whole new element to the session. :)

It's a weakness...I know. But still. I adore babies.

And I seriously love little Draven. He is getting SOOOOooooooOOo Big! :) In June before all the craziness began I got to visit his sweet little family and get some 3 month shots of him.Super cute!!!

Terry & Juli~ Married {Kansas and Oklahoma Wedding Photographer}

This verse has been in my head for awhile. Sometimes I think God puts these things in our minds...whispers them in our ears...reminding us of what is really important.

When I think about Juli and Terry...this verse just resonates in me....Their story is sweet. They are real people. Who had real heartache. They are beautiful together..truly enjoying life..because it is short. God brought these 2 together...and I truly believe they are probably one of the sweetest couples I have ever photographed.

I think it is amazing how God brings people in and out of our lives. We go through the day meeting new people..never knowing if we will see them again. I always find it fascinating that God cares about us...and not just the big things..it's the little things too. He takes a personal interest in us, in our desires and needs.

He has a perfect plan for each of our lives.

Jarrod and Ilissa met at a candle light service.

They immediately hit it off.

And even though they knew that this was God's perfect plan.

They fasted.

They prayed.

They wanted what God wanted.

When I had my first meeting with Jarrod and Ilissa... I was just blown away by these two. They are young....but the desire to do what is right was very important to them. They had my love and respect right then and there. I don't know why ..but I have been blessed with some amazing couples this year. Couples that I enjoy being around. This is one of them. :)

The day started out gorgeous. The sun was shining and not even a hint of rain was around. I immediately went to the church to see Ilissa's dress. WOW. It is gorgeous..and I can honestly say I have never seen a wedding dress like it. Very elegant.

We then met Ilissa at Shear success where Michelle was doing her hair.

They opted for a "First Look". Which I highly recommend. Not only reducing stress..but your hair and make up look the best before the ceremony..and it gives us time to get your photos done before the ceremony (or at least most of them)..and you can get to your reception all the quicker!

You looked STUNNING in your dress..seriously gorgeous! :)

Jokes, Snakes..and the man who saved my life....{Kansas and Oklahoma Photographer, Christina ZImmerman Photography}

"So an Admin. Assistant, a Lineman and a Photographer go walking in the woods....."

~ I can hear it now..this will be the start of a joke someday for sure. :)

One day the phone rang...We are looking for a Photographer for our wedding in June.. (not me..the lady on the phone... lol). Lucky for me I was not booked...because I was about to meet one of the cutest and nicest couples around. :)

We set up a time to meet and I fell in love with them and their story. He is a Lineman (you know..those brave guys who work on power lines)...and I must say..he is one of the sweetest Grooms I have ever met. She is an Admin. Assistant...and cute and happy..and as ticklish as I am.

We set a time to meet up for an Engagement session and opted to hit a few spots here in town and then go to Chaplin's Nature Center, here in Arkansas City, KS. It is so pretty there...and you can walk around and find a gazillion spots to shoot..ok..not a gazillion...but plenty enough!

I really loved all the shots we did in the alley....but there is something so magical about trees and sunlight pouring through them!

On the walk down to the River I led the way..they had never been to the Nature Center.

.so it just seemed logical...

(although...I really had no idea where I was going..lol..ok..an idea..but it's WILDERNESS...the last time I was out there..I was on the right path..but sure I was lost..so I thought to myself..well at least my phone has a Flashlight App. Pathetic? yes..i think so. :)

So we are finishing up..and heading back out before I have to put that Flashlight App to use..and Praise the Lord Terry was leading the way...because we came across a poisonous snake..that I am almost certain

I would not have seen.

(insert imaginary photo of me getting bit by a snake and freaking out...forget freaking out..

more like FAINTING!

Terry and Juli would have been grabbing my arms and legs and dragging me out of there!~ lol)

So Terry was able to scoop it up with a stick and toss it farther out. *shutter*

I am so NOT a snake person. :)

So..to sum it up.

I am thankful for Juli..who fell in love with Terry..who works on Power Lines and is Brave...who booked a session with me...gave me fun-filled evening..and Saved my life.

I am eternally grateful. :)

It was super early. Yes. Early. I am not a morning bird. I don't look forward to getting up anytime before 7...ok.8. I don't ENJOY getting up before 8 in the morning. :)

But when I have a shoot first thing in the morning..it's more exciting. :)

We left the house at 7 and headed to Ponca City, OK. Jonathan and Miranda were super excited about getting some shots done at the Marland Mansion. Can you blame them? It is so pretty!

And there are so many places and looks. I found this little nook when we were there..and it had the BEST lighting! Isn't this pretty!! So..

These 2 have been married for almost a year! Goodness time flies by fast!

Miranda had an idea about a park in Ponca that she wanted to try out. A Fantastic Idea.

I had never been to this park..but it was so pretty. Gazebos, vines, trees, walking paths.

And then to top off a great morning...Jonathan offered to take us to Starbucks. STARBUCKS!!!!!

So..it is here..it finally happened..I am at the end of all those Easter sessions! :)

What a crazy year!

Here are my munchkins...

All you camera crazy moms..know exactly what I am talking about, don't you!

I just got this blown up as a 16x24 canvas for one of my walls.

It is gorgeous..and I love comparing it to last years Easter photo.

The kids are changing so fast!

It's funny how you don't notice it...until you see the proof in the pudding. lol

Pookie is my hard one..she always gives me mean looks..lol..Not disgusting looks..or ugh..MOM..looks..

They are more...aggressive..psycho crazy killer kinda looks..and she is smiling through them. LOL

So I am always happy when I get some good shots of her .

Little man is my cheeser...he is always ready to smile for the camera..lately he sticks his chin out..so the photos are more focused on his teeth. Oh the phases..gotta love em!

Bub here is my natural..you can almost always get a good smile out of him and he is very eager to please (most of the time. ) :)

I love this shot! Maybe this will be my next canvas. I love Laughing children!

And of course we had to have a shot with the chick. Did I mention they cried because I had to take them back to their homes after these photos? lol..

Another one of my Easter Special sessions..this is the Stanley family! These kids also attend the same swimming lessons that my kids are in. So it was fun to see them after a session at swimming lessons..only to find out that their son is friends with my son. :) It's funny how we are all connected, isn't it?

This year, I had the privilege of meeting a new family from Ponca City. Terry and Juli are getting married in June..and I have been given the awesome privilege of documenting their special day! I am so excited! While we were going over wedding details..they asked about my Easter Special coming up the following week. Juli's daughter, Katelyn was as excited about the ducks, chicks and bunnies as I was. :) So we signed her up..and they brought along Aubrey as well. :) These girls are beautiful and so sweet. I had such a fun time with them. :)

When I first moved to Kansas 10 years ago...(I know..I am ANCIENT! lol)....Julie was one of my first Kansas Friends. :) I had the privilege of photographing her sweet girl when she was just itty bitty. Check her session out! Super cute. :) Well she is so grown up now..and her big brother is adorable as well. He's all smiles! :) I love doing these Easter sessions..the animals are a lot of work..but the reactions that you get from the kids makes it all worth it! They adore the little squeaks and feathers> :)

I am so behind this month..but I had to let you guys see my newest couple! They are awesome! The wedding is set for June and we got together the first part of April and shot some Engagement pictures! It was extremely sunny out..but we were able to get some AMAZING pictures.

They met last December...and you know I think that sometimes God just puts this "knowing" feeling in us. When we KNOW that this is God's will for our lives. I had that feeling when I met my husband..and I think these 2 have it as well. I really enjoyed talking with them...their dedication to each other..and praying for God's guidance in their lives. It's amazing. I love to see couples like this.

Love it, love it, love it. :)

We headed out to the Great Outdoors...where we shot off some amazing pictures...got some great exercise..and.....I got lost. Not kidding...lol...I was going the right way..but it didn't seem so..so I backtracked..and then backtracked again. :) I kept thinking..I sure hope I find my way out before it gets dark...and if nothing else..at least my phone has a Flashlight app! lol

I had such a great time with you guys! Really looking forward to June!

Last month I had the opportunity to meet a new couple. They are so cute together and I loved hearing the story about how they met. Their likes, dislikes and plans for the future. I even got the chance to see the new baby's room! Which by the way..is ADORABLE!

So we scheduled Stacie's Maternity session for the 29th of January. Expecting cold weather. Woohoo for us! We got 70 degree weather! This couple is extremely photogenic. Stacie...you are beautiful. Seriously.

I can't decide...but I honestly LOVE LOVE both the above and next shots. They are some of my favorites.

Ponca City, OK Wedding: Jeremy + Courtney ♥

Sweet. Kind. Passionate. Adore. Tender.

Those are just a few words to describe Jeremy and Courtney. They are perfect together. The way Jeremy looks at Courtney would melt an igloo in Alaska. :) And while those sweet, tender looks were constantly seen during the wedding, They are visible on a normal day as well. :) Courtney brings that kindness and love out. She is beautiful. Kind. and Sweet. She has an amazing realm of friends and family who see this as well.

On a beautiful day in Ponca City, OK. Courtney and Jeremy invited their closest friends and family to witness their declaration of Love for each other. The location was beautiful. Set in a Mansion built in the early 1900's. It has 22 rooms along with an amazing property and cottages. It's beautiful.

Beautiful Home + Beautiful Bride & Groom = Amazing Wedding :)

By the way..I have to put in here...that there were 3 flavors of cake served. Yes. You read correctly.

I talk alot about "First Looks" with my brides. Jeremy and Courtney had a "First Look". They had a few moments together before the festivities began. (this is all captured on camera). We were able to get all the photos finished prior to the ceremony. Leaving the Bride and Groom all the time they wanted to eat, talk and dance. :)

I had my first session of 2011 this week! And drum roll please?........In the snow! You can't imagine how excited I was to shoot another Senior! But to top it all off with little flecks of snow dancing around us was really awesome. Cold...but awesome. :) So. Meet Shae. He makes Pizzas. I know...you like him already, don't you? He is also a violinist...and playing since he was in 6th grade.

In 6th grade..my band teacher tried to assign me the Clarinet. My dear, sweet mother kindly declined this assignment. I have an older sister who played the flute. Do you think the mere thought of having a flute and Clarinet blaring through the house was too much for her? lol. Possibly. :)

Shae is also shipping out to the army. We got a few shots of him in his Army T-shirt as well. Anyone who can stand in the falling, freezing snow in a T-shirt will probably do ok in the army. :)

Happy New Year!!! Well 2010 came and went soooooo fast! I just can't believe how quickly time is passing us by! So I decided to write down in retrospect some of my favorite things this year.

10. Finding out that my 2 year old greeted the mail lady in his birthday suit.

9. Games. My kids are getting older and it is so much fun to play games with them! We've played Skip B0 ALOT this year. :)

8. Getting my biggest Canvas made. A 24x36. I'm still shooting for bigger next year...ooh look! A New years Resolution. lol

7. Friends who make me laugh.

6. Awesome Clients.

5. Starbucks....they make the BEST Cafe Mocha's ever. Trust me...I've searched high and low.

4. My kiddlies. They keep me on my toes...(please refer back to #10). :)

3. Dr. Pepper. You are sweet and crisp...and while I love you dearly...I'm hoping to spend some time apart this year. :)

2. Zach. He is my love...and I love spending time with him. and sometimes he can be extremely Hilarious. :)
I don't remember what he said..but it had to have been some pretty funny stuff! :)

1. God...because He sent his SON to die for me...because He loves me...and whenever I get caught up in this crazy world..He brings me back to Him.

I hope that all of you had a wonderful 2010..and I"m looking forward to all that 2011 has for us!

BABY FEVER. Yep. I have it. Bad. :) Do your hubby's give you that look? You know what I'm talking about...the look that says.."Don't even THINK about it!" I got that look last weekend! :)

One of my sweet childhood friends is back in the states. Maria and her husband are missionaries to Jamaica. They came back to have their 4th child. This sweet, adorable baby girl. :) She was so sweet and snugly...and WIDE AWAKE! Oh I worked her and worked her..and she would not give up and go to sleep..I even turned the thermostat up to 90! I was sweating and she was wide awake and alert as ever. It's ok...I loved every bit of it! By the time the natural light was completely gone..she decided to take a nap. So even though the light was not the best..she was GORGEOUS!!! I love these shots Maria!

It's so crazy being a part of someones life..and watching them grown up. Owen was 5 when I married Zach. 5! I feel really old sometimes. :)

We went out to Grandma Sue's house for Thanksgiving...and right before we got to stuffing ourselves full of turkey ..I had the chance to take a few picks of Owen....and of course...his new ride. :)

Can I just say...what a trooper! It was sooooooo COLD out. We had a hard time not shivering..but I think we got some great shots while we were out. :)

Meet Laken. She's super cute..and a bit quiet..but something tells me...that's probably not the case when she is with her family and friends. I like her. :) When I asked her what she was "in" to...she shrugged her shoulders...."Just running". :) Did you know that Laken won 1st place in her age bracket at the Arkalalah run?( .....And yes..I am talking about Arkalalah AGAIN..lol...it's a big thing in the this town...and even the Public schools let out for it. .....we are just so cool...hehe) She's really good...and I think this is just awesome.

My favorite photos are from the last spot that we went to..not sure if it was because the day was warming up..or we just hit an awesome location....or because Laken is just gorgeous...and we all know that Gorgeous Clients + beautiful locations= Amazing photos. :)

Senior 2011- Braden {Arkansas City, KS Senior Photographer}

3 adults, a High School Senior and a dog...seriously...how much trouble could we possibly get in to??? :) Well at one of our locations..I am pretty sure that the cops were called on us..lol...we got the 3rd degree on the bridge...did they think we were going to jump? :)

Earlier this summer Braden's mom called me about senior pics. I had the privilege of shooting their daughter's senior photos last year...you can see her here . They are an awesome family..so I was thrilled when I got the call to hang out again! :)

We started out bright and early...again..for some reason..all my seniors this year are requesting morning shoots! :) I think they just like to challenge me because morning light is so much more complicated than evening light...in my own opinion.. :) Braden is awesome. I had such a good time just chatting with him. When I got home..I kept telling the hubby..."What a cool kid!". :) Kudos to his Mom....and Dad. :)

Braden is in the Orchestra here in our town. I actually saw their float in the parade during Arkalalah. His music is beautiful...we walked out to this tree limb..and he stood there and played and played...it was all I could do ...to hold my camera up and keep shooting. The whole setting was magical...something you would see in a movie. :)

But honestly...this guy has so many awesome sides...You have this amazing, peaceful violinist..and then switch foots..he has a motorcycle. :)...which he totally rocks.

I'm sorry..I just can't help myself...how awesome is that. :D

and off to the next talent..he LOVES to cook. Seriously, Braden...are the girls swooning over you? You've got a motorcycle..you play gorgeous Violin...and to top it off..you can cook...and you like it! :D

Last weekend I had the privilege of meeting Lauren. She is super sweet and beautiful as well. :) She is very talented! As we were walking I found out that Lauren plays the Cello! How awesome is that! I love to photograph instruments...(one of my other "loves".)...so I'm a wee bit disappointed she didn't bring it to the shoot. :D But in spite of that..we had an awesome time. ;)

The sun was amazing and beautiful peeking through the trees. We met up in Winfield bright and early before all the Arkalalah festivities started. I just loved her session...it really let me get some of my favorite types of shots. :)

Senior 2011- Arkansas City KS Photographer

October. October means alot of things to alot of people....the coming of Fall...the crisp, cool mornings. But in our little town...it means Arkalalah! Yeah baby! I'm not originally from this town..but any town that has vendors here for 5 days in a row..is definitely on my Happy List. :) The town starts things off with a Medallion Hunt. Clues are left in the paper everyday..and the person to find it..wins.....$500!..Then the vendors come in on Wednesday...a Parade that night..with all the floats decked out in lights. There are of course the traditional Queen Arkalalah festivities going on...Good ole football games..ect. And then Friday comes. But this Friday was different for me. I had the joy of getting up early and meeting "C" for his Senior session. And can I just say it? BRRRRRRR! It was so cold..I really felt quite badly for him..:)

He was a trooper though. But honestly..it's nothing new to him. He is a hunter. :)

We started things off at the Lake. It was so pretty out that morning...thank God for Sunshine! :)

The dog was not planned to be in the photo..but I'm glad he decided to jump in. :) Now..if he would just stand still.....:D

Last week I had the sweet opportunity to babysit my niece and nephew while their mommy was off taking care of her mommy. :) They moved away..so it is not very often that I get to spend time with these kiddos! Tyler and Chrissy: Arkansas City, KS Wedding

I recieved an email awhile back from a girl named Chrissy. The subject was this: I NEED A PHOTOGRAPHER!!!! :) Of course I was more than willing to help her out! :) Especially once I learned there was a horse involved in the wedding...Bride + Horse= Awesomeness. :)

They met about 5 years ago at the Cowley Animal Science Class. He'd seen her photo in the newspaper..and while he won't admit it...there is a rumor that he cut out the photos of her....love at first sight?? :D

They dated for about 4 1/2 years which led up to having a little girl who is now 10 months old. She is super cute! She was walking by the wedding day...so she was able to walk down the aisle as a Flower Girl. She did awesome!

The Wedding day was gorgeous..beautiful and sunny..and warm. Which is a good thing. :) We had a crazy cold-front move in the week before..so this warm, sunny day was great!

Chrissy and Tyler were getting married on his parent's land. It was the perfect place for a country-styled wedding. With hay bales and quilts, tractors and flowers...it was so sweet. :)

Unfortunately the horse didn't like being a part of the wedding..so they finished the walk down the aisle on foot...and can I just say..I LOVE..>LOVE the looks Chrissy and her dad were giving each other..laughing. Now...that is a moment I will never forget...It was beautiful.

Happy, and fun, and sunny. Those are some great words to describe my time with this Cutie this morning. She was cute and silly...and Happy! Oh yes..She was quite happy...she had on a Pretty dress and she looked cute..and she knew it! :D hehe

Last week I had the fabulous opportunity of taking some photos of my new neighbor and our city's new doctor and radiologist, Mauricio and Michelle. They are a super sweet family..and they have the most adorable little girls!!! The oldest one just started school that day..so she had lots to tell me about and she is quite the talker! :) The younger of the two is much quieter..but oh she has got a little twinkle in her eye....is that orneriness? lol...Either way...they are gorgeous...and I think the little one on the way is going to be just as cute!

I can totally relate to this family..as I am the youngest of 3 sisters...so I am so excited for the girls. They are going to be having a fun life of giggles!! :)

I just love LOVE baby bumps..so cute ! :)

The other day I had the sweet Miranda over for a photo shoot. She had on the cutest top and I think the blue-green shirt just totally complements her skin! Just gorgeous! The weather of course was stunning. Pretty and sunny..so we were sure to find some nice shady areas. Bob the cat was out and about too. He's our neighborhood stray cat and he took quite the liking to Miss Miranda. It seemed he thought he needed to be in the last half of the pics..hehe. Maybe i'll post some pics of that later.. :D

Madison- Senior 2011

Yep..It is that time of year again... Time for Seniors to get their Awesome Senior Photos done! Whoo hoo! :)
Lucky for me I get the privilege of shooting my sister in law's Senior photos this year. She is super cute..and I am looking forward to doing another session in the fall with her. When the wheat here turned Golden we hurried out to the country to get some photos in before they cut it down.

The sun would only peak around the clouds in spurts..but the wheat turned out beautiful and golden anyways! :)

This next shot..is probably my favorite. I didn't notice it at first..but WOW..I love it. :)

Of course..no picture of Madison is complete without her "ipher". :)..and Madison..I really do love how your hair looks in this next picture..it's very...pride and prejudice-ish? It just seems really sweet and beautiful. :)

Oh my goodness. These guys just ooze cuteness!

Andrea contacted me awhile back wanting to do a session with her boyfriend...and after getting rained out our first try..we finally made it out into the WILD!...well ...sort of. :) I had been wanting to shoot in this area for awhile..so when Andrea told me this was the spot she wanted to do it..I was super excited.

Of course I was even more excited when I found out he had access to a gator..so we didn't have to walk miles around trying to set up. SWEET!

I had such a fun time with these two. They are sweet and fun and young in love. I like shooting young in love types. They make me smile...and I do love to smile. :)

We got out bright and early just after the sun came up..and I just LOVE these shots of the two of them on the sand.

What should I wear?
Pick clothing that is vibrant and fun! Choose colors that are deep, rich and intense. Patterns, textures and layers add interest to a photo. When if comes to jeans, opt for the darkest indigo wash. This is the most flattering and doesn't tend to "Date". Think cute hats, wispy dresses, jeans, button up shirts... The important this is that they are casual and comfortable in whatever they are wearing!

What's the age for this mini-session?
This is for all kids up through High School. I have a few ideas to change things up for the older ones. If you have any props you'd like to add to what you see in the photo..feel free to bring what you'd like!

Sweet little Baby...

I had the sweetest opportunity last week to photograph a baby girl who was just cute as a button! She was almost 3 weeks old..so some of the newborn positions wouldn't work..but oh she was just DARLING!

I had this little crib that I wanted to try out. I was not SURE she would like it..but I definitely wanted to give it a try...and you know what..the little cutie went to sleep!..so I guess she did like it. :)

Ark City Wedding: Nella & Matt

She had just turned 30 years old and had never been married before....It was a decision to go into very carefully. God knew the desire in Nella's heart as she prayed for her future husband..and then...she met Matt. She had never been so in love...a perfect match as he was praying for someone like Nella. Matt already had 2 daughters, Alex and Eryn. For him, it was kind of like the Rascal Flatt's song: God bless the broken road...that led him straight to her.

Some say they moved fast. One month after they met....Matt proposed. It was a match made in heaven..and if you ask either one they will tell you. Since that day everything around them has only confirmed that this was the right decision and God's will for their lives. They are over filled with joy of all the blessings that God has given.

Nella and Matt's wedding day was so sweet. The wedding took place at Hillcrest Bible Baptist Church in Arkansas City, KS. This is the church that Nella's brother was married in and now Nella and Matt had the opportunity to celebrate their marriage in the same place. It was great for me too..because....*drum roll*..Yep..I got married there too. :) It was nice to walk into a church and actually know my way around. lol...

Nella's dress was so pretty..and her veil...WOW..it was truly beautiful..I just loved the details along the hemline. The cake was made by Chris Rothell ...and can I say..it was GORGEOUS. No surprise to me...Chris has made cakes for my baby showers..and they taste as great as they look. ;) Friend her on facebook..and you can check out some of her designs.

This was such a fun wedding for me! Instead of a unity candle they had unity sand. I had never seen this..but I think it is such a great idea! If you haven't heard of it..you should definitely google it. There were 4 flower girls with the youngest being only 2 years old...it was so cute watching her pick up every petal her sister dropped..hehe The reception was wonderful..filled with family and friends, a Mariachi Band..and one of my favorite parts..homemade Mexican food! YUM. If I was stranded on a desert Island with only one type of food. It would be Mexican. I love it! The family had spent the day before cooking away for Nella's wedding and it turned out great!

Thanks for including me on your wedding day. It was so fun to meet you guys and I loved being a part of it!

St. Louis Wedding

We started our day off bright and early on a Saturday morning in big ole St. Louis, MO. It's a huge city...especially to a little country bumpkin like me..hehe. Thankfully I had a ride all day..so I managed to not get lost. :) I hopped in the car with 2 Bridesmaids..and we headed off to the Salon. It was a great salon..why I say this?... :) It was next to a Starbucks. And if you know me at all...you know I love me some Starbucks. :)

So here we are...starting the day off for Bryan and Kourtney's big day. Kourtney is sweet and stylish and oh my goodness I just LOVED her head piece!!

This is one of her MOH's (matron of honor's...I guess I could have just spelled it out in the first place..hehe) She won me over after I found out she teaches in Longhorn Country..hehe Hook em Horns..baby..Woot! :)

Ok..I need to have a little chat with you guys about this next set of pics. Especially any of you soon to be Brides. Best Idea EVER. :) Loved it.. :) Kourtney had this ART displayed when everyone arrived at the Reception...(which was in a really cute Art Gallery btw. )...the numbers represent the table you are sitting at..and notice the little pieces of vellum? Yeah..they had our names on them....

and as the Guests removed their name pieces from this ART..the Photo was still behind the photo circles they pulled off. It was AWESOME! I loved it.

Definitely a whole lot of cuteness! While I was up visiting in Missouri, their mom contacted me to see if I could do a shoot of her cute kiddos while they were going to be in the area as well. Don't you just love holidays! :)

So, we set up a time early in the morning to get some great light..before it got to bright...and would you know it..the sun was on a head start! Whoowee...it was Bright!! :D

The spot they had in mind..was perfect! It was so pretty..and I'm so glad that the owners were so nice about letting us on the property first thing in the morning! They have put in ALOT of work..and it's simply gorgeous. Maybe someday I'll have a house out in the country and can do something like this..I know they have put alot of time and energy into it!

The kids were awesome!...and SOOOOO Cute! Seriously? I think I have just been so blessed with all these good looking people to photograph! And all these beautiful eyes! I'm just going crazy Happy over here! :D

Well...little man wasn't so sure about being down on the ground..but I just LOVE this pose...I'm trying out some new things in my editing..and this is one of them. Isn't' it BeAuTiFuL!!! :) I would totally frame this!

I love this shot of all 3 of them together. When I look at it..I think..."This is what my eye would see if I was just standing around... kids being themselves." It's so natural. I love natural. :)

And yes...I DID get pictures of little man smiling! I really did! :) He is beautiful..and they grow up so fast. Sometimes I really miss that cute little stage. Those chubby little cheeks! :)

Ok..so here is another photo that I played around with the coloring on. :) I really liked it too..don't worry..I kept the originals. :) I just wanted to give everyone an idea of a different kind of shoot. :) I think it's beautiful.

Oh Boy!

Seriously..Oh boy..I have been busy trying to catch up with everything since returning from my trip to Missouri. I was given the opportunity to shoot a wedding in St. Louis..( more on that later!)..and then had a few shoots scheduled while I was in the area.

I just knew as soon as I got back I would be busy, busy..editing all these photos..but low and behold my kids got sick...ALL 3 of them. Blah! So first off I would like to apologize to everyone waiting on a preview.. that things haven't been up sooner! :)

Ok..can't wait to show you these kids..they are sooooo CUTE. I had such a fun time shooting them (with my camera..that is *wink*)! Their dad emailed me a while back letting me know that he wanted some shots done of him and the boys when I came up..so as soon as school was out and the sun wasn't scorching..we headed out for an amazing shoot.

btw...I should warn you..these kids have AmAzInG eyes. :) They are gorgeous. Be prepared to be wow-ed...or..wowed..?? wowwed? Either way..lol. WOW!

OH MY OH MY OH MY. This is probably one of my favorite child photos ever. I really hope this makes it to somebody's wall. It's beautiful. :)

I really liked this building..the boys liked it too..lots of interesting "things" in there to find. Weird things too..did I mention they had BOXES of plastic knives in this ran-down building?!..why are there boxes of plastic knives everywhere...I'm still a bit puzzled..hmmm.

This couple is super sweet together! He knew she was the one. She didn't think so. But...he was persistent and won her over.

He was sooo sweet to her during this session...I kept asking ..."Is he always like this?"..Yes..yes he is. This is a great example of why I love photographing Engagement sessions....ahhhhh! I LOVE IT!

There is nothing so fun as seeing a couple in the new stages of Romance and Love.

We decided to do the shoot at her Parents house out in the country..it was a beautiful setting..and so relaxed and tranquil.

Not to mention some great locations..I've done some a shoot out here before with her little brother and his G/F. But lucky for me they had some special spots to show me. And boy did they make for some great shots!

Oh Bokeh...how do I love thee! Yep...I'm a bokeh nut..This is a favorite shot of mine..

!!!!!! C..you are more beautiful than words can define.. I love this next shot. He definitely needs this one in his wallet.

This is probably my favorite shot..just because I love the composition... I love the flowers coming up around you..it's sweet and soft..and Lovely. :)

Happy. That is the word that comes to mind when I think of these two. They are soooooo Happy. And seriously..so contagious. I love this couple..they are such a great example of New Love..fresh..and fun. :)

They met at a Christian College in Oklahoma...and he proposed to her the night before our shoot. They are super sweet together..and I really enjoyed getting to know them!

We started our shoot at the Marland Mansion. The property is Gorgeous and the inside is just as pretty!

This is one of my favorite locations to shoot because there are soooo many areas and looks to the property.

N* thought it would be great to do a shoot in the kitchen...and she was right...this is ADORABLE!!!

What a Weekend!

CRAZY! Yes..that is exactly the word that I would use to describe my weekend..yep..crazy..fun...exciting...and exhausted. As most of you know...I'm getting ready to head to Missouri for a Wedding, a few sessions..and some quality time with the parents...so along with all the fun and playing..I had to pack! I hate packing..it never fails..I ALWAYS forget something. Praying this time is different..or at the very least it's something that I don't really need! :D

The fun and games got started off on Friday with a prom from one of the local Christian Schools.

I got asked out for Prom!! Woohoo..lol...well sort of anyways...This cute couple wanted their own Paparazzi....so wallah..Paparazzi I can be..especially when it include Supper at Abuelo's! YUM!

So after a LONG night of fun (really fun..since hubby got to tag along..hehe)....I got up early the next morning and headed to Ponca for an Engagement Session...Can I just say that I love Engagement sessions...? lol..anyways..this couple was awesome!

Went home...packed..unloaded Pictures...and then reloaded the vehicle and headed to the country for my next engagement session. This is C and J...and they are just

Last week our church ( Hillcrest Bible Baptist Church) had an awesome Missions Conference! We had missionaries in from all over the world showing us slide shows of the countries that God has given them a love and desire to reach for Christ.

This was our Guest Speaker for the Conference. He is an awesome Preacher and I promise everyone that attended the missions conference walked away Blessed, Inspired, and Burdened to be a better Child of God.

I just love little kids..they're so fun to photograph! :)

It's raining, it's pouring..

Little man and I got to play in the rain this afternoon! Ok..it wasn't pouring anymore..but it was still misting...and it was fun. :) The rain is like a waterfall on the side of the house..so by this afternoon there were plenty of puddles to play in..and the waterfall had slowed to a trickle. It was the perfect place for a little boy to get his hands all wet and his shoes soaked.

This wasn't a planned shoot..to be honest with you I was watching Little Man jump up and down in those puddles..thinking..He's so cute!...when it finally crossed my mind..I should be out there taking pictures! The older two were off playing with the neighbor kids..it was the perfect opportunity to spend some one on one time with Little Man..and my camera. :)

I know! I know! Isn't he ADORABLE!!! Of course I"m a wee bit prejudice..but come on! That is one cute kid!

I love this shot..he had just stuck his head under the waterfall/trickle by the side of the house. I've got more pictures that I'll probably be uploading..because little sis and her friend found us and demanded a photo shoot. lol..Maybe, just maybe I'll post some of those girls in all their sassy-ness. :)

Last week I told you about the shoot I had with Zach's little sister..and I got to thinking as I was uploading these pics about the whole "little sister" thing. I've never had a little sister. I've always been referred to as the "Baby". Oh come now..unless you are an Only Child..you have either been the "Baby" of the family or you are related to the "Baby". Well....that's me. I am the "Baby" of the family.

So as I'm typing this I think..huh..I kinda have a Kid Sister now..and then my crazy mind jumped up and started singing...Kid Sister..Kid Sister...wherever you go I'm gonna go...lallalala..Kid Sister and me! Anyone else remember that commercial? I think they came out with a Kid Brother somewhere in that time period too.

So I guess I'm done reminiscing....Back to the Present! This is M...and her boyfriend C. They've been together quite awhile...3 years!...considering this is Teenage Love. :) They really are a cute couple..and if want to see more photos of them together..you can see photos here and here, there and probably a lot more I just don't feel like searching all night for. But you get my drift.

Plans changed for us that weekend and we had to figure out what we were going to do as far as locations go for their 3 year Anniversary photos. So..we decided to shoot them at her Grandma's house. She has some great property and awesome spots!

Did I mention these two spoil each other rotten? lol..This sweet boyfriend of hers took her to Wichita shopping where he doted on her all day. :)

This is my Sister-n-law...well one of them. :) And she is about to give birth to my newest Niece! How exciting is that! :)

She is about 37 weeks along now and she is estimating the due date is going to be the 22nd. Anyone wanna guess why????

It's EARTH DAY. :) If you know this lady at all you would NOT be surprised to hear her say this. :) She is your modern day Flower Child and love's everything Earthy, Natural and 1960's.

She's also the one who knitted my cute little cocoon baby props..you can see the girl one here. What a blessing! :) Hoping to talk her into knitting me some baby leggings when things slow down a bit. :) How cute would that be!

Here is little C. :) Isn't she cute! The faces she was making when she first saw the animals were so funny!!

I love how she is holding Mr. Duck! How perfect is that! :) She really did a great job with the animals..she was very gentle with them. She tends to have a way with animals..I remember our shoot when the horse came running up to her and just stood still so she could pet him. I"m thinking maybe future veterinarian?? :)

Well, Hello Mr. J! During that glorious heatwave on Thursday we headed outside and tried to see what we could come up with for Senior Pictures. J really wanted to have pictures done in the spring..but let's face it..with this crazy weather..that could be May! :D Who knows maybe we'll head out again and get a few more.

These first shots are AMAZING! J- they take my breath away.. seriously I know I can come across as a bit crazy sometimes with my ideas..but this one..ok the first three are definitely keepers!!!

*sigh..I really love how these turned out!

Yep..so here's the part where the crazy barber came out and told us we needed to pay a fee for using his building...whoops. :) I think he was kidding...at least I hope he was...

Yeah..I love this one too. :)

See J? Your eyes are open! And I didn't even photoshop them! :D "J" has one of those great smiles that makes his eyes disappear.

Word of advice...if a train is coming...don't stand by the train tracks...yeah.

Meet "A". She is sooooo Cute! ...and sweet, talented..and Smart! :)

"A" was needing to get some school pics done for this year. So I was happy to oblige her and have a little "shoot" with her before she headed home. She lives out in the country with lots of land and a horse! I love horses..and ponds..and all that fun stuff. :) One of these days, I am going to take her up on her offer and come out and have a photo shoot on her property!....(and maybe go for a horse ride too..hehe)

She loves to take pictures too..and she has a good eye! Some of the shots she's shown me that were done on her property...are just...Beautiful!..Like I said..she's quite talented. :)

Deep in the heart of Texas

Yep..deep in the heart of Texas is about where I was…right along the Gulf of

Mexico. It was cold. I know! I know what you are thinking..it’s TEXAS!..it should be hot and nice and sunny. But...it was cold! We did have like 2 days that weren’t too bad..this day was in the 60’s..and we had one day that was 70 so we high-tailed it to the beach to feed the seagulls..I’ll post some pics of that at a later time. :D

So here is Mr.. “C”. Isn’t he the cutest little red headed boy?! And sooooo full of energy!

We did this session in his backyard! I love doing sessions in places that mean something to a person! Not to mention we had access to his favorite thing…

Yep. That’s him. It’s so great to have a prop that can get this kind of a smile. :D

And this next photo is one of my favorite photos…I LOVE those eyes!!! He did such a great job!

and that smile is sooooo contagious isn’t it?? I smile every time I look at this!! Super Cute!!!

My Latest adventure

latest photography adventure occurred last Saturday. We have been wanting to have this shoot for quite some time..so I was thrilled that we were able to schedule it!. These 3 kids have the MOST BEAUTIFUL eyes…seriously. They are this rich, chocolate brown color..and just any old chocolate..Dark chocolate…the rich kind that just melts you! Ok..yes I am having another chocolate craving. :) But really they are just amazing!

We will start this story with the youngest..Meet “Miss D”. When “D” was born…we had this joke that “D” was going to have to marry our Oldest boy “C”. Crazy? Sure. But look at her! She’s a doll..and she was just as cute when she was a baby…My son was looking through his baby book..and saw some pictures of him and her together…asking me who she was…I haven’t informed him yet that he is looking at his future bride..but I’m sure he’ll figure that one out sooner or later. :D Just Kidding!..maybe. :)

Ok..next up is her brother, “K”. This kid is…NOT camera shy. :) Seriously…he should go into modeling or something because he is a complete natural in front of the camera!

Again…those eyes!!! They are sooooo pretty..or is it handsome?..either way..WOW!

I’ve been having this idea in my head..of a photo shoot I thought would be so cute..with Pookie. She’s a hard one..there is definitely something about photographing your own children…you Mothers know EXACTLY what I am talking about! If your girls are anything like mine..they do not like to have their hair brushed..let alone pulled and twisted. :) But she was a real sport about it. I tried really hard to keep a smile on my face and think of ways to make her WANT to do it. And she did..she did such a good job. Meet Kami...

She is one of the funniest people I know...seriously. :) She makes my heart very happy.

I love to shoot with her~! Oh the good times we have shooting a wedding...trying to be professional when deep down we are just as happy as the Bride to be there..maybe it's just us..or maybe that giddy feeling is just contagious.

Who knows..but I do know this. We have fun. :) I have a lot of great memories with this lady(should I tell them about the Aunt with glitter on her forehead..that NO ONE would help??...or maybe I should tell them about the Groom who did the worm as his intro dance??...or how you pretend I'm taking your picture when the camera is actually pointed behind you at someone else...but you just smile and pose??..hehe..no I probably shouldn't talk about all that...but oh they are some good funny memories..memories that make me smile).

I love hanging with Kami..because when we get together...my cheeks hurt from smiling so much...but that's just the way she rolls. She is one cool cat. :)

I went to visit her this summer and she decided while we were there..we were going to do a photo shoot. Now mind you..I do not have my camera with me...I mean...I barely even have makeup on..a photo shoot?? But...I'm game..you know I can't resist playing with a camera.

Seriously Kami...it should be ILLEGAL for a mother of 3 children to look this good...:)

So this next pose is my favorite..It's Kami. She is a happy person. Everyone loves to be around her.

So..not a whole lot happened this weekend..I went out did some pictures..got some AWESOME shots..and got hit on by a 3 year old. Yes..folks you read right..lol..And it was so UNEXPECTED...let me start at the beginning...

It all started when Grandma wanted to have a photo shoot of her grand babies all together. We set the date..but due to illness and such we had to reschedule a few times..but we finally were able to meet up on Saturday. Our plan was to get some group pics of the kiddos in their OU outfits..(My camera is not prejudiced..as I'm sure it would have up and quit on me..as we are Longhorn fans...Hook 'em Horns!..lol)....So first we have "C"...she is so CUTE..and if you follow my blog at all you probably remember a Session that we had of her awhile back.

Next...meet "P" and "A"...they are a brother/sister team..and really great kids! "A" was a tad bit ornery..and didn't think I needed to get pics of him sitting..but rather of him playing football. :)

So..yes..here is little man..or should I call him Ladies' man... lol..He really didn't understand why he had to

stand still. :)

And "P"..look at the eyes!!! I love brown eyes..even though not one of my kiddlies ended up with them! hehe

Something about "A" just screams.."I am going to be AWESOME at sports!"..doesn't it??

This one was taken before the fun and games took a turn for the worse. :) ..so this was the end of our shoot..and as I was heading back to my car..Little "A" came running outside..and this is how our conversation went:

"A" : Where are you going?

Me: I'm going to my house..

A: Can I come home with you?

Me" *Smile* I think Grandma needs you to stay here.

LOL...if you had seen our session..you would understand why this was such a pleasant surprise..lol..Little boys do not really like to have their pictures taken. :)

Zach's cousin "A"..called me a few weeks back wanting to do a photo shoot with her boyfriend...of course..I readily agreed...(because obviously...we all know I can't resist a photo shoot) lol..

Don't you just LOVE when you are ready to take a picture..and God gives you exactly what you need? Seriously...who needs a blow dryer to give you that "windblown look"..when at the right moment..God just GAVE it to us...HE totally makes my job so easy sometimes.. :)

Ok..so I know I adore finding a new spot for pictures..and can I say...I love this spot...

A friend of a friend

So a Friend of a Friend came to me a few weeks back....It's so hard to believe that we lost our green leaves so quickly! Anyways...she is a College Senior this year attending school in Oklahoma City..and came up for the weekend to visit.
So even though she got pictures back right away..I had squeezed her in between a couple other sessions..so I haven't had a chance to show anyone how cute and sweet she is!
